About

Once upon a time, I was a fairy godmother.

Ok. I was a wedding planner, but it was still my job to make dreams come true. There were so many emotions and people involved. There was more stress than sleep. There was family drama galore. And with each passing season, I knew weddings weren’t for me.

There was a bright spot, though. After months of carving carriages out of pumpkins, I couldn’t help but reflect on the relationships in my life, what I’d come to believe about love, and how I chose to experience it.

Come to think of it, I’ve always been fascinated with love. It’s given me some of the best and worst times in my life and as I mature, I’m realizing just how layered and complex love is.

My goal is to dig into love and all it’s forms, examine how it’s shaped my relationships and identity, and reflect on how history and socialization have impacted what I believe about love.

Consider this a lover’s anonymous blog. There’ll be something for the addicted, the recovering, the hopeful, the jaded and the bitter because you can’t honestly talk about love without acknowledging all of the sweet and sticky parts.
